Must Have
- Lead and oversee accounting function, including general ledger and financial reporting.
- Manage shared services operations (AP, AR, payroll).
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
- Maintain strong internal controls and GAAP compliance.
- Drive continuous process improvement through automation and technology.
- Partner with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership.
- Manage external audits and relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support M&A activities and integration efforts.
- Develop and mentor high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification.
- 12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong systems and technology orientation, including ERP experience.
- Ability to travel 15-20%.

Summary: This executive leader will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and driving efficiency and scalability across shared services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and related support functions. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, operationally minded leader who can balance strategic vision with tactical execution in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the accounting function, including general ledger, technical accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation
- Manage shared services operations, ensuring efficient and accurate AP, AR, and back-office processes
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles while maintaining strong internal controls and GAAP compliance
- Drive continuous process improvement through automation, technology, and best practices
- Partner with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership to support strategic and business decisions
- Manage external audits and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other key stakeholders
- Support M&A activities and integration efforts while developing and mentoring high-performing teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required
- 12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including managing large teams or shared services
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting, with a proven ability to drive process improvement
- Demonstrated success leading and developing cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
- Industry experience in distribution, manufacturing, or industrial services is preferred
- Travel required 15-20%
- Strong systems and technology orientation, including ERP experience and finance transformation initiatives
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
